My family suite hotel in Porto with breakfast included, Canto de Luz, gives families an actual family suite right in the heart of the old town, with a single sofa bed for an older child, a baby cot at no extra cost, and a daily homemade breakfast in the price. Breakfast is the single hardest part of a family hotel stay, and resolving it properly is the difference between a city break that works and one where the worst hour of the day gets dragged across the holiday. I built this version of the Maison for families who want both.

Breakfast Made Fresh, Every Morning

Daily homemade breakfast is included in every rate. The menu changes daily, it is made fresh in my own kitchen, and the kitchen team will quietly switch in waffles, pancakes, hot chocolate, Nutella, freshly squeezed orange juice and a Portuguese pastel de nata for small guests, with a full healthy menu for the grown-ups alongside.

Eat in the Orangerie, in the garden when the weather is right, or have it delivered to the family suite when nobody wants to be the first one dressed.

Children Under 24 Months Stay Free

Babies and infants up to 24 months stay free at the Maison, including breakfast and the cot. The kitchen team will provide:

High chairs at every meal

The pool is heated, the garden is enclosed, and the Maison is small enough that nobody is ever far away.

Right in the Heart of Porto, for Days That Work

The Maison is on Rua do Almada, a short walk from Livraria Lello, the Clérigos tower, São Bento station and the riverside in Ribeira. Free scooters to borrow help small legs keep up with the city. The Gaia gondola is one tram ride across the river, and Foz beach is twenty minutes by taxi for an afternoon with the buggy.
