My Boutique Maison in Porto, Canto de Luz, starts at €99 per night for a suite in the heart of the old town, with a daily homemade breakfast included, access to a heated outdoor pool open every day of the year, and individually designed suites. Tripadvisor has ranked us their number one hotel in Porto, and I wanted the pricing to be clear before you book: what is in the price, what is not, and how the seven different suite types compare. No chain-hotel surcharges hidden in the small print.

From €99 per night, every rate includes:

A daily homemade breakfast, served in the Orangerie, in the garden, or delivered to suite

How Nightly Pricing Works

€99 is the everyday starting rate for a Maison suite for two. The final price on the booking page adjusts for the season, the length of your stay, the suite type, and your group size.

  • Porto’s spring, summer and Christmas weeks are higher
  • January, February and most of November are noticeably better value
  • Longer stays have built-in reductions that apply automatically at the checkout
  • The Maison’s seven different suite types each have their own nightly rate

Everything is shown clearly before you confirm, no surprise fees once you are on the page.

Meet Your Host

I’m Susan, the founder of Espais Roca and the person behind Canto de Luz. Canto de Luz is my Boutique Maison in Porto, designed as something warmer and more personal than a conventional hotel, more like staying in a luxury home with friends. I lovingly restored a beautiful old building in Porto’s centre, kept the original art and the character, and added the bits of a good hotel that families and friends actually use: a daily homemade breakfast, a heated pool open year-round, and a real person to ask for restaurant tips.

 

Too many guests told me they were fed up with sacrificing the luxuries they enjoyed as a couple once they started travelling as a family. I knew both were possible.

What's Not in the Price (So You Can Plan Ahead)

  • Daily breakfast and daily housekeeping are included in the nightly rate, not added on later
  • Private off-street paid parking is available on request, charged at the standard Porto rate
  • City tourist tax is collected at check-in per Porto's standard rate
  • A refundable security deposit may be held for apartment-style suites during the stay and returned in full at check-out without issue

Children and Infants

  • Children under 24 months stay free, including breakfast
  • Cots, high chairs, baby plates and cutlery, baby baths and baby monitors are provided free on request
  • Family suites with a single sofa bed work for one older child sharing
  • The Urban Retreat 2 Bedroom Apartment is set up for families with two or more children, with a separate ensuite bedroom for the kids

Exclusive Use and Whole-Property Hire

For a family reunion, a milestone trip, or a small wedding party, the whole Maison can be hired for one group, with all suites, the garden, the heated pool and the Orangerie yours for the stay. Villa Almada in the same garden can be added for groups large enough to need both. Whole-property rates depend on dates, group size and length of stay, contact me for a tailored quote.
